Understanding the things you can't always see
True Colour Vision brings lived experience, psychology and education together to improve understanding of hidden disability, neurodiversity, autoimmune disorders and chronic conditions.
Through training, conversation and real people's stories, we help organisations look beyond a diagnosis and understand the person living with it.

Beyond appearances
Not every disability, condition or difficulty can be seen.
People with hidden disabilities, neurodivergence, autoimmune disorders and chronic conditions are often misunderstood because their experiences don't fit what others expect a condition or disability to look like.
Symptoms can fluctuate. Needs can change from one day to the next. Someone may appear well while managing pain, fatigue, sensory difficulties, cognitive changes, or even other challenges that aren't visible to the people around them.
When understanding is missing, assumption take its place.
True Colour Vision exists to close that gap.
What we do
True Colour Vision helps organisations turn awareness into understanding
Through lived-experience-led training, talks ans educational sessions, we explore the realities of hidden disability, neurodivergence, autoimmune disorders and chronic conditions. Including the things that policies, diagnostic labels and standard awareness training can sometimes miss.
Sessions can be tailored for workplaces, education providers, charities and community organisations, combining psychological understanding with real lived experience.
Our work focuses on three things:
Education-Making complex experiences understandable and relevant.
Lived experience-Putting real people's voices at the centre of learning.
Training-Helping organisations turn understanding into practical change.
The aim is simple: better understanding, fewer assumptions and more inclusive environments.

Research and Evidence
True Colour Vision is informed by both lived experience and psychological research.
We believe meaningful understanding comes from listening to people's experiences while also engaging with the evidence that helps explain them.
As True Colour Vision develops, we aim to bring relevant research into our training and educational work, drawing on evidence around hidden disability, neurodivergence, autoimmune disorders and chronic conditions with lived experience.
We also want to encourage conversations between individuals, organisations and researchers.
Lived experience asks important questions. Research can help us understand them.
-Our founder has an autoimmune disorder , and is currently completing a BSc (Hons) Psychology degree, with research interests including trauma, autoimmune conditions, disability and mental health.
